The CleanEvent Services annual conference, held on 18th October at Birmingham City Football Club, was kicked off by our CEO Tomas Gronager, sharing the company vision and our focus on entrepreneurial spirit.
The entrepreneurial theme was continued by our keynote speaker, Edin Basic, who shared how he had embraced opportunity on his journey from refugee to millionaire. Edin spoke little English when he fled the Balkan conflict in 1992, but after working in restaurants, set up the first branch of the pizza company Firezza with his business partner. The business was sold to Pizza Express in February, with Edin continuing as MD – what an inspirational story.
In the afternoon, everyone participated in a workshop session to help shape the future of CleanEvent Services in its key markets of sports, leisure, entertainment and retail venues.
Our annual awards ceremony concluded the business day, with a social dinner in the evening.
