The CleanEvent Services team at Tottenham Hotspur is busy planning for the upcoming NFL games, which will see American Football played for the first time in a purpose-built NFL venue outside of the USA. The new stadium will host Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders on Sunday 6th October and Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers a week later on Sunday 13th October.

The NFL is well-known for providing a great match day experience, which starts well before the action on the pitch. A key feature is the Tailgate parties, which take place at selected venues close to the stadium and in surrounding open areas, and include American-style food, performances from cheerleaders and appearances from NFL legends. Most fans are expected to be at the stadium for many hours, as on average it takes over 3 hours to complete a match.

The long event and increased consumption of food and beverages, both inside and outside the stadium, requires detailed planning for cleaning and waste removal. Larger stadium teams are required plus external crews, to keep everywhere clean, and ensure that the expected 10 tonnes of additional waste per event can be effectively handled. Post cleaning also requires more resource and planning, to get everywhere back to top condition as quickly as possible.

For fans not able to attend the matches, NFL stadium tours are being run from 7th October. Visitors will have the chance to step into life as an NFL athlete as they are taken through the purpose-built team facilities, including locker rooms, and preparation and media facilities, all of which will be kept in top condition by a dedicated CleanEvent Services cleaning team.

Ensuring that fans have a great experience requires rigorous planning and organising, and we’re proud to be supporting these great matches.
