Role Description

Reporting to the Divisional Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supervising a team of 5 cleaners in all aspects of cleaning and ensuring that all activities at the venue are carried out as per the direction of the Divisional Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate team members and ensure that a good working relationship is maintained with and between them.
  • Provide an efficient, safe, consistent and quality service to the complete satisfaction of CleanEvent client, observing all the appropriate procedures and guidelines of CleanEvent policy.
  • Ensure that all equipment is safely and used correctly by team members and that any faults are promptly reported and fixed.
  • Ensure that staff are trained and licensed to operate mechanical sweeper, machines and other mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out daily inspections of the work carried out to ensure this meets the required standard.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are followed by all team members.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to dress and behavior codes.
  • Maintain effective communications with the Venue Cleaning Manager.
  • Allocate ad hoc cleaning duties as they are logged with the help desk.
  • Maintain CleanEvent’s Cleaning Event Management System Human Force.
  • Ensure all storage areas are kept clean, accessible and all equipment is returned to storage after use.
  • Assist the manager in signing staff in and out of their shifts, controlling the numbers in accordance with the rota.
  • Assist the Divisional Operations Manager with the appraisal process.
  • Ensure all SWMS and COSHH documents are easily accessible in all cleaning cupboards.
  • Carry out a weekly toolbox talks with all members of your team.
  • Liaise with the client to carry out regular cleaning audits of the venue and delegate any immediate actions from this to the team to rectify.
  • Monitor and manage all operatives’ behaviour & performance on site.
  • Undertake all administrative tasks for the venue including but not limited to; Inventory of cleaning stock, organising and managing staff rotas (including arranging cover for sicknesses and absences), cleaning tasks lists for the next week, shift reports, and organising or updating staff training records.
  • When in short supply, offer support to operatives to complete cleaning tasks.
