What a week it’s been for CleanEvent Services! Returning from our annual conference (which was held at the Walton Hall Hotel in Warwickshire) it was a fantastic and memorable event for the whole CleanEvent Services family. Kick-starting the occasion on Tuesday morning, our CEO, Tomas Gronager gave us an overview of the business performance from the past year, highlighting our success but also shining light on our goals for the future. The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) has awarded Andy Barker, Pat Dean, Neil Grice, Danni Burton and Tom Harrison at Freshney Place with certificates after completing training at Freshney Place.
The ‘Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite’ certificate covers a variety of modules such as dust control, damp mopping, suction cleaning of a hard/soft floor, cleaning of toilet facilities, buffering hard floors, bodily fluids and sharp objects. Over in Baku, local QHSE Trainers Yusif Mammadov and Asad Allahverdiyev trained 3572 Azerbaijani cleaners. Each cleaner was trained in eleven games time safety procedures, using videos produced by Tommy Cowen. Founded in 1991, the Golden Service Awards are regarded as the Oscars of the Cleaning industry. We are proud to announce that our first event in Cape Town was a success, driven by Scott Booth and his team in operations, which included Steve Westraad overseeing security. We were privileged to run the New Year’s Test Match at the iconic Newlands Cricket Stadium, with The South African Proteas vs The West Indies.
It was a well anticipated match and that meant a full capacity stadium. The T20, which was a fantastic experience, had an electrifying buzz with fireworks going off making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

The NFL International Series has had yet another successful run this year, bringing in an average of 80,000 supporters in all three games. Our cleaning staff had a great challenge ahead of them as you’d expect American’s do it bigger!
Setting up for a Football match day is a shorter process and usually takes place 2/3 days before the game. American Football however is a whole week before the game, 2000 large towels are specially brought in to compensate for the NFL players large sizes. Holding the responsibility of unfolding, inspecting, re-folding and repackaging them, our staff had a lot to do.
